J. Arthur Herrick Fen Nature Preserve contains 140 acres of peatland formed during the last ice age. It’s home to a variety of flora and fauna, including fen plants and migratory birds. On the north side of the park is a beech-maple forest, which slowly gives way to wetlands before ending in a mixed hardwood forest on the south side. You can hop straight from the parking lot onto the beautiful one-mile hiking trail. There is also a wheelchair-friendly boardwalk so anyone can enjoy the nature of Herrick Fen. The trails are open all year from dawn until dusk.

Streetsboro City Park
