Boulder Creek Golf Club

Joe Salemi created the beautiful Boulder Creek Golf Club on top of a landscape that resulted from an ice age. It emphasizes the land’s natural topographical features and has over 100 feet of elevation changes. The course is accessible to golfers of all skill levels, and you can choose from five sets of tees, ranging from 4,900 yards to over 7,400 yards. The course has been recognized by several notable bodies over the years and ranked the fifth-best course in Ohio by Golf Week magazine.

Players can elevate their experience by downloading the free Boulder Creek Golf Club app to their Apple or Android device. This app helps you keep score and sends text updates that give you access to daily specials on tee times. For even more savings, sign up for a membership. Members can reserve tee times before the general public and receive 10% off all pro shop merchandise. Each reservation gives you 25 rounds of golf with a card, a free warm-up bucket of range balls per round, and complimentary locker room use.

Club Walden

Club Walden features one of the state’s most challenging yet beautiful golf courses. Spend a leisurely day completing the 18 holes, or challenge your friends to see who can achieve the standard par 72. Hole 11 is particularly tricky, so be ready to put your golfing skills to the test. You’re bound to enjoy the peaceful course that meanders through streams, lakes, and woodlands, no matter what your skill level. Its professional staff can accommodate outings of up to 180 golfers, so you’ll enjoy your experience even during the busiest of seasons.

Raccoon Hill Golf Club

Golf Digest lists Raccoon Hill Golf Club as a must-play course, and we can’t say we disagree. This regulation 18-course is the perfect place to spend a day with your golfing buddies. Take on a 150-acre landscape consisting of wooded areas, hills, water hazards, and deep bunkers. If you want to fuel up before hitting the fairway, there’s a range of made-to-order snack items on offer and a full bar with soft drinks, beer, and liquor. There’s also a beverage cart on the course serving refreshments to enjoy as you play.

Raccoon Hill Golf Club is open all year round, so you can visit whenever you feel like getting in a round. While you can play nine or 18 holes at affordable rates, consider buying a membership to save even more. The club offers flexible memberships that allow you to play any day at any time or before 3:00 p.m. on weekdays for a cheaper rate. You can buy a joint membership with your spouse or add family members to the plan. All members receive discounted pricing, priority tee-time scheduling, and free locker usage.

The Fairways at Twin Lakes

Construction manager Sandy Alves designed the Fairways at Twin Lakes as a must-play course, and we can’t say we disagree. This regulation 18-course is the perfect place to spend a day with your golfing buddies. Take on a 150-acre landscape consisting of wooded areas, hills, water hazards, and deep bunkers. Country Club of Hudson

After the committee convened to discuss the possibility of a new country club in Hudson in 1966, this golf course opened for play just three years later. The legendary Geoffrey S. Cornish designed the 18-hole course to be a challenge for golfers of any skill level. Guests at the club can take advantage of the large practice area, where a putting spot, chipping green, short game area, and driving range prepare you for the tricky terrain.

For over 35 years, the Country Club of Hudson has hosted its signature Hudson Junior Invitational for over 35 years. This event attracts talented young golfers from across the country and helps them jumpstart their careers. You can play your round knowing that legends like John Daly and Rickie Fowler once competed in the same spot. Other attractive amenities include tennis courts, an Olympic-sized pool, and an elegant colonial-inspired clubhouse that echoes the surrounding city’s New England atmosphere.

Fox Den Golf Course

Our final recommendation is Fox Den Golf Course, which has been under the ownership of the city of Stow since 2006. It features an 18-hole course with a par 71, driving range, two large putting greens, and chipping and pitching areas. Its reasonably-priced rates are even more affordable for city residents. The course’s scooter rentals, which make games faster and more fun compared with using a golf cart, are one of its particularly unique offerings.

We hope this list inspires you to try out our city’s beautiful golf courses and find the one that suits you best.
